About SPCA West PascoAbout SPCA Suncoast

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of West Pasco has been saving lives and finding homes since 1964 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Currently, we are saving the lives of hundreds of adoptable pets every year. The SPCA temporarily provides a home for animals that become separated from their families and those who are surrendered for a variety of reasons. Our dedicated staff provides them attention, health care, food, a clean place to sleep, and love while they live at the shelter.

Mission Statement

Mission Statement
  • To provide care and shelter to homeless companion animals in Pasco County with the goal of finding a loving, responsible and permanent home for each pet.
  • To provide medical attention to each homeless animal which has the potential for placement in a permanent home or an end to suffering of any animal in our care which is without the potential for placement in a home.
  • To reduce the overpopulation problem by spaying/neutering each pet prior to its placement in a home.
  • To promote kindness and humane care of animals through public education.
  • To assist in the enforcement of laws and ordinances for animal protection. We are completing our Mission in addition to microchipping every pet before it is adopted.
  • We carefully screen potential adopters, making every effort to ensure that the animals are with people who truly want them, will properly care for them, and give them a forever home.
